Effective tomorrow, Feb 1, we will be turning off the long list of service codes that have been in use in ReconPro for the past 2 years. The reason for this is that our list has grown too large, resulting in duplications that will make us less efficient as we go forward. So, we asked Scott Silvernail to go through all of the current service codes and consolidate them down into this list of "core services" for which we need to be able to gather data on local, regional and national pricing of these services to help all COP/CarLove Franchise owners to maximize the profitability of their businesses. The old service codes will still exist in the "back office" for a time.
Here is how we are going to efficiently organize and code our services going forward:
First, you are going to select one of the the following "TYPES" when you create each new inspection or workorder. This is similiar to the Class that we selected in QuickBooks. It is the source of the work (with exception of PDR).
TYPE
New (All new car work done for dealerships)
Used (All used car work done for dealersips)
Service (All service drive work done for dealerships)
Fleet (All fleet work. Avis, Enterprise, Cintas, Amazon, etc...)
RV (All RV work done - RV dealership and Retail RV)
PDR (Service codes here are specific to PDR)
Retail (All retail work done directly for owners of vehicles - not service drive work)
Other (Anything that does not fit into the above categories. Eg. Caskets, ATMs, Buildings, signs, appliances, bodyshops, etc...
For each class listed above, you will see the same list of services (except for Other and PDR). This list of services covers the majority of what we do. Please do you best to select the service that most closely matches what you are doing. Scott has added several built in/drop down list options for added descriptions to each of the following services to allow you to desccribe your service in more detail is you wish. You may also add whatever description you wish to the comments section on each service.
Here is a list of Core Services in each Class except for PDR and Other:
Services
1-Touch Up
2-CCSR (Clear Cloat Scratch Repair/Reduction/Removal or whatever you wish to call it!)
3-TUSR (Touch Up and Scratch Repair)
4-Headlight Refinish
5-Bumper Refinish (bumper work that includes the spraying of paint or clear on entire bumper)
6-Bumper Custom Blend (any bumper work that is not spraying paint or clear on entire bumper)
7-Panel Refinish
8-Large Panel Refinish
9-Part Refinish (Painting or refinishing any part. A long list of parts are provided in the drop down list. Do not use this service code for "purchased parts" - bumper skin, door skin, hood, etc...)
10- Wheel Repair
11- Add-On (any additional charge - tri-coat, repair, etc... A long list of options are provided in the drop down lilst and more can be added)
To see the new Types and Service Codes, you will need to UPDATE APPLICATION DATA via the udpate icon at the bottom left forner of your ReconPro login screen. This will update your app to the new Types and Service Codes that been loaded into your back office.
If you have any questions or issues related to these changes, please text me and we will work to address anything that may need to be adjusted as we go.

would also like to see one of the 'types' listed as Paint program. I have 5 dealers that I am running a 'paint program' with. It would be uesful to see at a glance how that segment is affecting our business model. Not just my area, but nationwide
would like to see a dedicated line for tri-coat we use that quite often, and located under the add-ons it is not convenient, and makes consistant pricing on that service impopssible.
